How do people place these mini implants and load them immediately with overdentures? With a single crown, you can lighten up or remove any centric and lateral force on the mini implants. I wonder how these mini implants take the pressure of putting and taking off overdentures.

My guess is that, since the implant has smaller surface for the cortical bone to hold on to, there is some mobility until the bone remodels and heals around the implants

How do you explain the initial mobility during the first few weeks?
Were they mobile immediately after the insertion? -

Surgical stents are useful when placing multiple implants. This case probably did not require a stent to place dental implants in #28, 30 areas. But the surgical stent was needed for the LL area. Yesterday, I went to a Bone Marrow donor registration drive. The turn out was not good due to lack of preparation on the host, my son. He did not have any announcements made and no posters at his school. My friends who promised to show up, did not. Nonetheless, the weather was beautiful here in So Cal.

Here are two cases that I did with mini implants. In the case above, the patient had some extra space between the lower incisors. Fortunately, the teeth were aligned so that orthodontics was not need prior to implant therapy. The implant was placed under local anesthesia, as usual. Back to work this morning.
It is a beautiful day in So Cal.
I am planning on going to see this dental practice that I am considering buying. Working for other dentists sucks. I get a pay check, consistently, but nothing else.
