1. Join Dental Soul.
2. Log in to your account. Use the log in link at the bottom right corner of any page on Dental Soul.
3. Write your tips in your post.
4. Your first post will be reviewed.  This step is necessary to filter out spams.  Your subsequent posts will not require reviewing by editors.
5. You may include ONE link to your dental practice web site or your service web site in the bottom half of the post.  This rule keeps the web site from becoming a victim to aggressive internet marketers and still provides a legitimate link to the contributors.  Failure to abide by this rule may cause loss of your privileges in Dental Soul.

How to use the post write page.

Once you are logged in, you can go to http://dentalsoul.com/wp-admin and click on the “add new” button under post on the left hand side.  If you don’t see “add new” button, click on “post” button, then “add new” button will appear under post. Or you can Click HERE to go to that page and start posting your tips.

1. Once the write post screen comes up enter the title of your post or case.
2. Click on the Visual Tab of the Editor.
3. Start writing your post or case in the box.

4. Add images or other media by clicking the button shown. (A new screen pops up.  Detail on this screen is down below.

5. This step is important!

To show your post with picture on the front page of dentalsoul.com, follow these steps carefully.  You need to do this only for ONE image that you want to show as a thumbnail on the front page.

Follow these steps as you are inserting images to your post.

• Click on “file URL button”
• Highlight the URL address in the Link URL box and copy it.
• After inserting the image in to your post and closing the add image window,
  in the box under under thumbnail  paste the Link URL you copied from image insert window.  THEN add “-100×100″ (without the quotation marks) right before the dot in front of jpg (jpeg) as shown above.  Do NOT add extra space or change anything else.
• If you are not sure about these steps you can skip these steps and let an editor know which image you want to use as the thumbnail to show on the front page.

6. You can select the appropriate category of your post or case.

7. Save as a draft so you can edit later.

8. Preview and see your post or case looks on the web site.

9. Submit to be published.  When you are ready to publish on your own, contact the team at Dental Soul.

Adding Images:

A6. Click on select file once the image uploader screen come up.  Browse your folders and double click on the image you want to upload or highlight the image you want to upload and click open. You can upload one image at a time.

A7. Add caption to the image.  The caption appears right below the image.

A8. Click on file URL button if you want to show the full size image to show on a window.  This is after your post is published and when someone clicks on the image, the full size image will pop up.  If you don’t want to show your full size image click #10 NONE button.  You can select the size of the image you want to show in your post or case by selecting the appropriate size below. Do NOT use FULL size image to show in your post or case.

A9. This step is important! To show your post with picture on the front page of dentalsoul.com, follow these steps carefully.  You need to do this only for ONE image that you want to show as a thumbnail on the front page.

• Click on “file URL button”
• Highlight the URL address in the Link URL box and copy it.
• After inserting the image in to your post and closing you can add a thumbnail image on the front page.  Instructions are given above in step 5.

A10. You can click on “none” button if you don’t want to have your full size image show up on a new window.

A11. After choosing the position and size of your image to show in your post or case, click “insert image” button to insert your image. This action will close the current window.

If you are not sure about any of the steps shown above, do as much as you can and save it as a draft.  You can look for answers to your questions in the forum.
